Solomon Islands athlete Stephen Rahuasi made history last Saturday by setting a national record in the Queensland Athletics 1 Mile race.
Rahuasi won Race 3 with an impressive time of 4:39.57, establishing a new Solomon Islands national record.
In addition to his victory, Rahuasi also competed in the Toowong Harriers 3000m race, where he placed 2nd with a personal best time of 10:06. His performances reflect significant progress in his athletic career.
Currently training with the Brisbane Athletics Academy at the University of Queensland, Rahuasi has seven more weeks of training and racing ahead.
