Hon. Tagini

47 years ago, we gained our independence as nationhood and joined the global family of nations. A short but challenging journey since; let us embrace the good deeds and remain vigilant to the instant changes going forward.

This year’s Independence Anniversary theme, “Unity and Stability for Transformation and Prosperity”, reminds us of our oneness in diversity, a foundation in working cohesively for a better future in this ever-changing world.

Our forests with its biodiversity similarly, has been a backbone to our nationhood upbringing for its economic benefits, ecological services, and social responsibility. We must also be innovative to have oversight over its management in partnership and collaboration for better and improved forestry services that will benefit all now and, in the years, to come.

Let us continue to work together hand in hand, in advancing our beautiful nation Solomon Islands towards peaceful co-existence and economic prosperity.

Happy 47th Anniversary celebrations. May God Bless our Solomon Islands from shore to shore.
