Honiara, Solomon Islands – Hon. Bradley Tovosia MP, Minister for Fisheries and Marine Resources, has been appointed Supervising Prime Minister during the brief absence of Acting Prime Minister Hon. Frederick Kologeto who traveled to Canada on ministerial duties and is expected to return on October 8.
As Supervising Prime Minister, Hon. Tovosia will oversee government affairs and also supervise the Ministry of Communication and Aviation during this period.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Hon. Jeremiah Manele MP is representing Solomon Islands and the Pacific Islands Forum at the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York. He is scheduled to return on October 1.
This temporary leadership arrangement ensures the government’s smooth operation while key leaders attend to international duties.
