Prime Minister Hon. Jeremiah Manele officially launched the theme and logo for the upcoming 54th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting, set to take place in Honiara from 8th to 12th September 2025.
The launch took place this afternoon at the SINU Panatina Ground and as part of the ongoing National Trade Fair Program.
The official logo design, selected from 45 submissions, was created by local artist Philip Tapuika who was awarded a $10,000 cash prize and a certificate of recognition, presented by Prime Minister Manele.
During the launch, the Prime Minister also unveiled the official theme for this yearโs Forum:
โIumi Tugeda: Act Now for an Integrated Blue Pacific Continent.โ
The theme highlights the importance of regional unity and urgent collective action to safeguard and integrate the Blue Pacific.
The event was also attended by Deputy Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, Mr. Esala Nayasi.
The launch is part of national preparations as Solomon Islands looks forward to hosting one of the regionโs most significant political gatherings.
