Students and teachers from Choiseul Bay School had a unique opportunity to experience the workings of democracy up close during their visit to the National Parliament of Solomon Islands today.
Far more than just a tour, the visit gave students a meaningful introduction to the nationโs legislative process and the vital role Parliament plays in shaping the country’s future. They explored the historic Parliament Chamber, met with parliamentary staff, and learned how laws are made and how elected leaders represent their communities.
The visit is part of Parliamentโs ongoing outreach to schools across the provinces, aimed at inspiring the next generation of informed, engaged citizens and future leaders.
By welcoming young people into its chambers, Parliament continues to promote transparency, civic education, and a stronger connection between government and the people it serves.
