Earlier this week one of the meatworks company in Australia came in-country and carried out a two days recruitment at the National Stadium.

Nolan Meats is an approved employer under PALM and this is their first time ever to recruit from the Solomon Islands. They are a 100% Australian, family owned company founded as a small retail butchery business in Gympie in 1958. Today, Nolan Meats focusses on producing quality grained beef for the delivery to retailers, further processors, wholesalers and international markets.

Over the two days recruitment, more than 100 candidates shortlisted from the work ready pool undergo numerical and drug tests and interviews.

One of the company’s representatives mentioned that out of all the candidates interviewed, 50 placements will be available for those that are successful.

Nolan Meats said that they are happy with the quality of workers from Solomon Islands and are looking forward for further future collaborations with LMU.
