Representatives from MADEC AUSTRALIA recently concluded their first recruitment visit to the Solomon Islands, expressing strong confidence in the quality and capability of Solomon Islands workers.

The delegation highlighted the candidates’ excellent English proficiency, strong test results, and readiness for skilled roles such as forklift driving, horticulture, and glasshouse farming.

Following successful interviews, an initial group of 25 Solomon Islanders is scheduled to commence work in Australia in June, with opportunities expected to expand across agriculture and potentially age care.

MADEC praised the professionalism of the Solomon Islands Labour Mobility Unit and noted that this partnership offers long-term benefits for workers, employers, and families, positioning Solomon Islanders as strong ambassadors for future Labour mobility opportunities.

The Labour Mobility Unit (LMU) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade would like to acknowledge MADEC as one of the Labour hire company in Australia for their time in the Solomon Islands doing the in-country recruitment.
