The Solomon Islands National University (SINU) successfully concluded its one-week Security Training Program for security personnel on Tuesday, 27 January. Participants were awarded certificates for completing the program, which strengthened their skills in campus security, first aid, disaster risk reduction, and emergency preparedness.
The closing ceremony was attended by Chinese Police Liaison Team (CPLT) Commissioner Mr. Liu Shenghuang; Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Acting Deputy Commissioner Mr. Simpson Pogeava; and members of both CPLT and RSIPF.

On behalf of SINU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Clyde Puilingi, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology congratulated the graduates and highlighted that the knowledge and skills gained are essential for safeguarding students, staff, visitors, and university facilities. He also extended sincere thanks to CPLT and RSIPF for their expertise, guidance, and continued partnership.
