I extend my sincere congratulations to the newly elected Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands, Hon. Mathew Wale, following his successful election to office.
On behalf of my Government and my people, I congratulate Prime Minister Wale on his election and look forward to working closely together to further strengthening the longstanding relationship between Bougainville and our brothers and sisters in the Solomon Islands through continued cooperation, mutual respect, and our shared regional aspirations.
Bougainville and the Solomon Islands share close historical, cultural, and people-to-people connections, and I reaffirm Bougainvilleβs commitment to continued engagement and partnership with our Melanesian neighbours.
